Steve RedmondSteve Redmond has been involved with Safe Call Now since its inception. Safe Call Now is a confidential, comprehensive, 24-hour crisis referral service for public safety employees, all emergency services personnel and their family members nationwide. Steve started his law enforcement career as a Spokane Police Offer Reserve in 1989. In 1992, he was hired by Seattle PD as a full-time sworn officer. During his career with Seattle, Officer Redmond has worked as a patrol officer, mountain bike officer, field-training officer, DUI officer, traffic officer, and is currently assigned to the motorcycle unit. Steve has been with Seattle PD for over 18 years. Along with these accomplishments, Officer Redmond is also a recovering Alcoholic with over 5 years of sobriety. His main focus is to help other individuals dealing with personal crises such as addiction, finances, PTSD and more. “We save lives…one phone call at a time.” Along with his full-time job with Seattle PD, Steve also holds the position of Training Coordinator / Director of the Call Center for Safe Call Now. As the primary call-taker, it is also Steve’s responsibility to train the call-takers to ensure they have the most up-to-date training.
